What Time Do Dispensaries Open and Close in Los Angeles?

Licensed dispensaries in Los Angeles can sell cannabis from 6 am to 10 pm. Each store sets its own hours inside that window, so opening times differ from store to store.

Our four stores open at 6 am, 8 am or 9 am, and all four close at 10 pm.

What time can a dispensary open and close in California?

California sets one window for the whole state: a licensed retailer may sell cannabis only between 6 am and 10 pm Pacific Time.

That rule is section 15403 of Title 4 of the California Code of Regulations. It comes from the state’s Department of Cannabis Control (DCC).

Your city or county can set more restrictive hours, the DCC says.

What hours does the City of Los Angeles allow?

Los Angeles uses the same window as the state. The city’s Department of Cannabis Regulation says a storefront retailer may sell cannabis only between 6 am and 10 pm.

You can find that rule in Regulation 5 of the city’s cannabis rules, in the version effective May 28, 2026.

Can a dispensary in Los Angeles be open 24 hours?

No licensed dispensary can. State and city rules both stop sales at 10 pm, and sales start again at 6 am.

A shop selling cannabis at midnight is outside both rules. Stores without a license may sell untested products, the DCC warns.

Look up any store in the DCC’s license search before you go.

What time do Caña stores open and close?

All four of our stores are open seven days a week.

  • Beverly Grove, 8430 Beverly Blvd: 9 am to 10 pm.
  • Sylmar, 13509 Hubbard St: 8 am to 10 pm.
  • Harbor City, 1227 W 253rd St: 6 am to 10 pm.
  • Silver Lake, 2904 Hyperion Ave: 9 am to 10 pm.

Holiday hours can differ. Check the store’s page before you head out on a holiday.

How late can you walk in and buy?

Give yourself time before closing. The DCC says a store must finish an in-store sale by 10 pm.

On your first visit, we sign you up at the counter, so arrive before 9:45 pm.

Bring a valid ID that shows you are 21 or older. A driver’s license, a military ID or a passport all work under the state’s retail rules.

Our guide to visiting a dispensary for the first time covers what to expect inside.

Which dispensary is open now in Los Angeles?

No licensed dispensary in Los Angeles can sell cannabis before 6 am or after 10 pm. During the day, the answer depends on the store, so check its hours.

In Harbor City, our store opens at 6 am, which suits people heading to an early shift or coming off a night one.

The Sylmar shop opens at 8 am, and our Beverly Grove and Silver Lake stores open at 9 am.

Where can you check a store’s hours before you go?

Each Caña store has its own address, phone number and hours. Hours on our site come from each store’s own Google Business Profile.

Our page of Caña store locations in Los Angeles lists the address, hours, phone number and map for all four stores.

Call the store if you expect to arrive near closing time. We will tell you whether you can finish a purchase before 10 pm.
