Cannabis flower.

Dried, trimmed, and ready to roll.

Flower is the plant itself: dried, trimmed and ready to smoke or vaporise. Our four stores carry indica, sativa and hybrid from California growers, and every jar is lab tested.

The basics

Indica, sativa, hybrid, and what actually changes.

Start with the goal, not the number.

Flower gets sorted into three buckets, and they are a useful starting point rather than a rule.

Indica leans relaxing and body heavy, and most people reach for it in the evening. Sativa leans lighter and more awake, so it suits daytime and company. Hybrid sits between the two, and some hybrids lean one way more than the other.

Past those three labels, the terpene profile is what you actually taste and notice. Gassy, fruity, piney, citrus or sweet, they all come from the same plant grown different ways.

Do not chase the THC figure. A jar at 22 percent with a strong terpene profile very often reads better than a flat 32 percent. Every strain on our menu lists its THC figure, its dominant terpenes, the grower and the test date, so you can compare properly before you buy.

What is on our flower menu

  • Top shelf. Tight structure, strong terpenes, the newest genetics on the floor.
  • Mid shelf. Solid everyday jars from growers we buy from again and again.
  • Smalls and value. The same flower in smaller buds. It smokes the same.
  • Indoor, greenhouse and outdoor. Three growing styles, three different flavours and finishes. We carry all three.
  • Exotics. Limited drops and new California genetics. They move fast, so the menu is the only place that knows.

Picking one

Three questions that get you there.

01

When are you smoking it?

Evening leans indica. Daytime leans sativa. Not sure, or a bit of both, and a hybrid is the safe answer.

02

What do you want to taste?

Read the terpene line on the menu. Myrcene and linalool read heavier, limonene and pinene read brighter.

03

How much are you buying?

Start at a gram or an eighth on a strain you have not tried. It is the cheapest way to find out.

A good eighth beats a strong one, most nights.

Ask any budtender at any of our four stores and they will tell you the same thing. The THC figure is the least interesting number on the label. The grower, the cure and the terpene profile are what you notice in the room, and all three are on the menu next to the number everybody looks at first.
Before you buy

Questions about flower.

Anything about a specific product is answered fastest by the store that has it on its shelf.

What is the difference between indica and sativa?

Indica leans relaxing and body heavy, sativa leans lighter and more awake, and hybrid sits between them. The terpene profile on the label tells you more than the label does.

How should I store flower?

In its own sealed container, somewhere cool and out of direct sun. Heat and light are what dry a jar out and flatten the smell.

Do all four Caña stores carry the same strains?

No. Each room buys its own flower, so check the menu for the store you are heading to.

What size should I start with?

A gram or an eighth on anything you have not tried before. It costs the least to find out you do not like something.

Is your flower tested?

Yes. Every jar is tested by a state certified California lab, and the batch is tracked through the state’s own system.
